The 149th Open at Royal St Georges

2020 sees the return for the 15th time, of the 149th British Open to Sandwich in Kent, playing at the wonderful links of Royal St George’s, ranked 23rd best course in the world. The scene of Darren Clarkes emotional first major win in 2011 coping with adverse weather conditions like a true Northern Irishman would.

Royal St George’s is steeped in history with a golf course of sheer quality, tight undulating narrow fairways, natural sand dunes and brutal bunkers, the most famous being the 40-foot bunker on the 4th hole, one of the largest in golf.
