Golf International Barriere La Baule in South of France
La Baule is one of the premier golf resorts in France. The 45-hole golf complex comprises of two distinctly different championship courses and a nine-hole academy course.
The course named after the resort’s founder, Lucien Barriere is more commonly known as the ‘Red’ course and is the preferred course of the members and UK holidaymakers. The shorter of the two championship courses, this impressive parkland layout has wide fairways, generous greens and plenty of sand. Just be careful of the course’s closing holes which are bordered by some rather large and dangerous water hazards. If you need to work on your game before or after taking on the Red Course, why not try out the nine-hole Academy Course or practice at the Nicklaus School of Golf.
The Diane Desseigne course, or the ‘Blue’ course has more generous fairways although there are plenty of water hazards ready to ruin your card. If you are staying in or around La Baule take the time to play both courses, or maybe stay at La Baule in the great accommodation on-site and enjoy the facilities, the swimming pool and the great golf on your doorstep.
