Saint Jean de Monts Golf Course
Although some 80 minutes from La Baule, this course is a highly recommended day out. Leave mid-morning, arrive in time for lunch at the panoramic clubhouse and then go tackle this super links/coastal parkland as best you can. From the first shot to the last, you’ll be tested and teased and it will invigorate even the most tired of swings. Condition is good except that the links holes can be patchy (purists would argue that is how it is meant to be). Birdies, blobs, bumps and runs...Hooray for Saint-Jean de Monts and matchplay! Mostly flat. 30 miles southwest of Nantes and 55 miles south of La Baule. You can choose 'Resident Golf Rate' for this course if staying at Cottages or Domaine de la Bretesche or Residence Suite and Green.
