Voted as one of the best designs in the world, this is an outstanding course. And despite causing scoring concern for the world’s best players, they vote it as their second favourite on the European Tour. The Hubert Chesneau design focuses on meandering fairways with stadium-like mounds and demands at least one good shot every hole. Not for the faint-hearted or those with only four balls in their bag! Catch the flags in a good position and on a calm day, you could nearly play to your handicap but watch out for when the greenkeeper is in a bad mood or when the wind blows – only then do you realise how good the pros really are. Sensational!
