Barbaroux Golf Course

This is famed architects Pete Dye Jnr/Snr at their best. A mix of contoured fairways, huge bunkers and greens, hazards lined with railway sleepers and 18 totally different holes...A great design – with every type of layout – amongst glorious scenery. To score well, you need to be able to play most shots and every club in your bag. The greens are sometimes 50 yards long and subtle too. All told, it is a very enjoyable challenge and you have two choices – play matchplay and forget your gross score or add six strokes to your handicap and hold on for dear life! Quite flat but there are a couple of long walks between green and next tee. 28 miles west of Le Muy and 37 miles east of Aix-en-Provence.
