Balmoral Golf Course
Balmoral has a reputation for even-paced greens, offering opportunities to take advantage of putting skills on a smooth surface. A few have more severe slopes, while most greens are guarded by varying bunker styles. Balmoral Golf Course have green and tees developed to USGA (United States Golf Association) standards. Balmoral is home to the first Irish Open Champion, the great Fred Daly MBE and four former Ryder Cup representatives – Fred Daly, Norman Drew, Eddie Polland and David Feherty. Soft undulating fairways lined by thousands of mature trees force players to consider their strategy and plan ahead. The first hole is widely considered one of the most demanding openers in Ireland, and the 18th is even more spectacular.
