India Golf Holidays
India Golf Holidays
A land of warm, vibrant and hospitable people, India is a glorious adventure taking in ancient culture, modern ambition and some very famous golf courses.
India has over 140 golf courses in the most picturesque locales imaginable. And more and more are upgrading their presentation to modern PGA standards. Most of the courses are designed by famous golf architects such as Nicklaus, Peter Thomson, Palmer, Greg Norman and Trent Jones. Of the eight great courses, most are around Delhi with the others nicely spread around the country to ensure that, wherever you venture, there’s a special golf course to enjoy.
Golf in India started during British control as long ago as 1829. Slow in developing, its now firmly on the golfing path now that the economy is doing very well and the social need for golf is stronger than ever.
We recommend you take a three- or four-centre package taking in the sights, the best golf courses and staying in a mix of grand old hotels and stunning new designs.
