Mahmaya-Giftun Snorkelling Trip

You cannot visit Hurghada without taking the trip to Mahmya Island. This idyllic sand island is surrounded by a beautiful coral reefs and exotic marine life. Here, you can soak up the glorious Egyptian sunshine on the beautiful beach or swim in the crystal clear waters. The reef is home to vibrant corals, a seemingly infinite number of brightly colourful tropical fish. Snorkelling is the best way to see the reef and all the necessary equipment is provided if you do not have your own snorkelling equipment.  The sailing time to Giftun Island is approximately 45 minutes and your boat will return to the mainland at around 3.30pm. Lunch will be served on the boat.

 “Sinbad Submarine” Under The Red Sea

Experience the underwater world of the Red Sea without getting wet! Board the Sinbad Submarine for an unforgettable underwater adventure, diving below the Red Sea to enjoy the tranquility of life beneath the waves.   You will be collected from your Hurghada hotel and transferred to the pier for boarding. The Sinbad Submarine seats 44 people and has two pilots, with windows specially designed to maximize your underwater viewing.  You will have approximately 50 minutes underwater to enjoy the magical views of the underwater world at a depth of 72 feet (22 meters) below the surface. On your return to the surface, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Bedouin BBQ in the Egyptian Desert by 4x4

Take a 4x4 chauffered safari in the missing parts of Egypt, where you can discover the beauty of Egypt's oasis and deserts. Meet Bedouin people and learn about their lives and witness the amazing sunset over the Egyptian desert as you enjoy a BBQ dinner.  A one-hour drive by jeep through the desert brings you to the starting point of your tour where you will have a 30-minute walk up a small hill to be met by your Bedouin hosts and introduced to their way of life.

The Fantasia 1001 Show at Alf Leila We Leila is a highlight for most visitors to Hurghada.   It offers a taste of the local customs, traditions and food with belly-dancing, horses and a Sound and Light Show making up your night of Arabian entertainment.  At the end of the evening you will be transferred back to your Hurghada hotel.

Red Sea Snorkeling

No trip to Hurghada would be complete without a day spent exploring the underwater world of the Red Sea. This snorkeling trip will take you to three spectacular sites where you can choose to jump in the water or simply lie on the decks and work on your tan.

You will be collected from your hotel and transferred to the port to board your boat for the day.  There will be three stops of approximately one hour throughout the day and there is snorkelling equipment onboard for your use if required and lunch is included. Hotel pickup and drop off is available from most Hurghada hotels.

Quad Biking in the Egyptian Desert from Hurghada

Leave the bustling town of Hurghada behind you, and head into the heart of the desert by jeep.  After a practice session to get used to the bike, you will have approximately an hour to enjoy your exhilarating quadrunner experience.  Negotiate the sand dunes and canyons that make up this unique landscape and open the throttle to speed through the open plains.  A fast paced experience, away from the crowds of the regular tourist trails!

Private Tour: Hurghada City Sightseeing

The best way to find your bearings when arriving in a new city is to take a city tour. This three-hour trip with your own private guide is the perfect way to see the sights of Hurghada including the Big Mosque, St Mary Church, the port area and of course free time for shopping in the bazaars.  Spend the morning touring Hurghada city and seeing the sights including visits to the Big Mosque and St Mary Church, as well as the port. During the morning there will be a stop at the highest point in the city for a panoramic view of Hurghada and its surrounds.  After lunch you will visit some of the Bazaars.

Giftun Islands

The Giftun Islands are a popular excursion from Hurghada.  They offer snorkelling, diving, sunbathing and a soft retreat from the mainland bustle.  Offshore reefs provide spectacular drop-offs for experienced divers, hiding moray eels and fish in amongst the corals. Closer to shore, the coral reef snorkeling is superb.

Marine Biology Museum
Whether you’re a keen snorkeller or want to learn more about the world’s rare coral reefs, this museum provides all the answers!  Focusing on the Red Sea’s ecological environment, you’ll find out about the fish, sharks and turtles living under the waves.

Mons Porphyrites

Egypt’s rare porphyry was highly-valued by the ancient Romans and these former Roman quarries were mined for their precious purple and white crystalline stone, used to decorate columns, sarcophagi and temples.

This former quarry town was once a thriving settlement of houses, temples and workshops. Today, you can still see relics of this activity, which involved not only quarrying the semiprecious stone but also dragging it for miles across the remote desert sands to the Nile, from where it was shipped to Rome.

Qena

Qena provides visitors to modern-day Egypt with a glimpse into the far-distant past.  The ancient city was formerly known as Cainepolis and also boasts many famous Islamic buildings.  Today, Qena is best known as the closest town to the ancient, well-preserved ruins of Dendera which includes the immaculately intact and impressive Temple of Hathor.
