Shenzhen Golf Holidays

Shenzhen is demarcated from Hong Kong by the Shenzhen River in the South. Its sea is part of the South China Sea and the Pacific Ocean. It is a natural port city with Daya Bay in the east and the Lingding Sea to the west. As Shenzhen has a subtropical maritime climate with plenty of rain and sunshine, the city is never blazingly hot in the summer and the season can last for as long as six months. It is mild in spring, autumn and winter and not very cold in winter. The annual average temperature is 22.4, with the highest temperature being 36.6.

Golf Courses

  • Mission Hills - World Cup golf course

    Mission Hills - World Cup

Listed as one of the ten most significant and influential courses of the last 20 years”, this is a big course in every way.  The short holes are great fun and Big Jack has made a very fair course – the longer the hole, the wider it is and you can shoot the ball all the way to the …

  • Mission Hills - Vijay golf course

    Mission Hills - Vijay

Vijay shows his talent here with 150 yard beach bunkers and cliffhanging (literally) greens.  Visually it’s fantastic but you need to be an accomplished player to really get the flavour.

  • Mission Hills - Els golf course

    Mission Hills - Els

Ernie loves making big manicurec courses and this is no exception.  There’s a lot of variety with not that many bunkers but a super use of water around the turn.

  • Mission Hills - Faldo golf course

    Mission Hills - Faldo

Designed to be a spectators course, there are a couple of terrific “made for television” holes such as the island green 16th and driveable Par four 15th.  The fairways are sculpted to create amphitheatres to add to the occasion.

  • Mission Hills - Pete Dye golf course

    Mission Hills - Pete Dye

Very different from the other Mission Hills courses, this is a relatively short course requiring imagination and good shot-making skills.  We like Pete Dye designs and this is no exception: small pot bunkers, long tee-to-green waste areas, railroad sleeprs and a clever use of grasses to provide …

  • Mission Hills - Norman golf course

    Mission Hills - Norman

Greg Norman is arguably an even better designer than player – and that’s saying something!   This course is challenging with narrow fairways surrounded by native, long grasses and dens forest vegetation.  Add this to the dramatic mountain and lush valley setting, and …

  • Mission Hills - Leadbetter golf course

    Mission Hills - Leadbetter

You could say this is a teaching course – generous fairways, short Par four’s and the need for every club in your bag.  It’s ideal for a break within the toughies.

  • Mission Hills - Annika golf course

    Mission Hills - Annika

Annika Sorenstam’s first design makes perfect use of the natural terrain and mountains with dramatic elevations.  You can see exactly what you need to do from each tee and the course is also a treat for nature-lovers.

  • Mission Hills - Duval golf course

    Mission Hills - Duval

Target golf a la supreme!  Water, tough rough surrounding the wide fairways and lots of dog-legs.  Gradually working its way up the hill, the back nine leads back down to a cracking finish.  Don’t be greedy and aim for the widest point of the fairway and green and you’ll …

  • Mission Hills - Olazabal golf course

    Mission Hills - Olazabal

You can tell Olazabal grew up near the beach…This course features 155 bunkers with 24 on the 15th alone.  In addition to the sand, you have jungle and streams bordering the concave fairways.  The course can be tackled quite easily if you’re driving is on song (and the concave …
