Orlando Golf Breaks

The majority of the Central Florida's theme parks are also located on the south side of Orlando and the surrounding area. Walt Disney World® Resort, Universal Orlando® and SeaWorld® are minutes away as are water parks, dinner show attractions, animal parks, alligator farms, world-class shopping (outlet malls, shopping malls, and boutiques), exciting nightlife, the finest dining... the list is endless!

"Stay and Play" resorts in the area, including Grand Cypress Golf Club, Shingle Creek Golf Club, Arnold Palmer's Bay Hill Club and Lodge, Reunion Resort, Grande Lakes Resort, Orange Lake Resort, Orlando World Center Marriot Resort, and the Omni, all offer world-class accommodations and world-renown golf experiences at their respective locations.

For golf packages offering multiple golf destinations in South Orlando, the Embassy Suites Jamaican Court, Floridays Orlando Resort, the Lake Buena Vista Resort and Spa, Marriott Village, and Vista Cay Resort offer first-class accommodations within minutes of each other.

Additionally, Bella Collina Golf Club, Club, Eagle, Grande Pines Golf Club, Harmony Golf Preserve, Mystic Dunes Golf Club, and National all offer expertly manicured, championship golf courses with full service clubhouses and pro shops making them all perfect choices for a day away from the theme parks -- but not too far away!

In contrast, head north of downtown and you find that the landscape changes dramatically. Rolling hills and huge pockets of pines and oaks give golfers at championship golf at courses like Timacuan, Victoria Hills, DeBary Plantation, and Venetian Bay the feeling of playing in the Carolinas. The Embassy Suites Orlando North and Orlando Marriott Lake Mary offer quick access to all of the great golf courses in the area.

In contrast to the south side of Orlando, the north side is quaint and still offers exceptional Orlando Golf Breaks plus manatee snorkel tours, kayaking and canoeing trips, horseback riding, antiquing, sky diving excursions, and riverboat tours, which are all excellent opportunities to experience the culture of the area.

Orlando Golf Breaks

Kennedy Space Centre at Cape CanaveralKennedy Space Centre is like an Orlando-style space-travel theme park - only it's real! It's a great day out for the whole family, and only 45 minutes from Orlando. You'll need to plan on spending at least a full day to explore NASA's launch headquarters, located on a huge island wildlife refuge eight times the size of Manhattan.

SeaWorld® Orlando

Spend the day at SeaWorld® Orlando, and come face-to-face with the ocean's most fascinating marine animals. With over 30 attractions, show and rides, this family-friendly SeaWorld Orlando admission ticket has something for everyone!

Busch Gardens
One of the top zoos in North America, Busch Gardens brings you face-to-face with more exotic and endangered animals than any destination outside of Africa. Live shows, including the Broadway-style KaTonga - Musical Tales from the Jungle, carry you to the heart of the jungle through music and dance. And prepare yourself for heart-pounding excitement with SheiKra - America's first dive coaster.

Aquatica
Introducing Aquatica - a whimsical, one-of-a-kind waterpark that's only in Orlando and could only come from SeaWorld. One river floats you through an undersea world of colorful fish, and another races you into rolling rapids. Slides spin and soak you, and the incredible signature ride of two enclosed tube slides sends you speeding through a lively lagoon filled with playful, black and white Commerson's dolphins.

Clearwater Beach

Relax and unwind at Clearwater Beach on Florida's west coast, far from the hustle and bustle of Orlando.

Clearwater Screamer
Ride the open waters of the Gulf of Mexico on a wild and awesome one-hour boat ride aboard the Sea Screamer! Watch out for the wild dolphins that leap in and out of the wake as you make your way up the coast.

Deep-Sea Fishing
Cruise for approximately four hours into the Gulf of Mexico to go deep-sea fishing in some of Florida's most productive natural reefs. You can expect to catch a variety of reef fish including gray snapper, sea bass and perhaps even a shark.

Kennedy Space Center and Everglades Airboat Safari

Start your day with a fascinating visit to the Kennedy Space Center, then zip across the Florida Everglades on a thrilling airboat adventure. You'll experience the spills and thrills of space travel and Florida's swamps on this fun-filled combination day trip.

45 minutes outside of Orlando you'll take a thrilling 40-minute airboat ride to discover the beauty and diversity of the Everglades. Look for exotic plants, flowers and wildlife such as the Everglades' main inhabitants the famous alligators of Florida. Next, take a 20-minute drive to Kennedy Space Center.

Your visit to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex includes a tour of NASA's launch headquarters, the Shuttle Launch Experience, two IMAX films (Magnificent Desolation: Walking on the Moon 3D narrated by Tom Hanks, and Space Station 3D), all shows and exhibits, and a visit to the Astronaut Hall of Fame. The tour includes a stop at the LC-39 observation gantry for a bird's-eye view of the Space Shuttle launch pads.

You'll also stop at the Apollo/Saturn V Center to walk beneath a massive Saturn V rocket, relive Neil Armstrong's first steps on the moon and experience the thunderous rumble of a Saturn V moon rocket lift-off. Other shows and exhibits at the Visitor Complex include a chance to meet an astronaut at the Astronaut Encounter Show.

Nightlife

The Roxy is another popular Orlando nightlife spot. The music at Roxy is an eclectic mix that varies, depending on the night. Top local and international DJs spin several nights a week, and reggaeton and Latin nights are also very popular. The dress code varies from night to night, ranging from casual to the expectation to dress to impress. Consult the Roxy's website before you go to check dress code details, as well as to see drink specials.

Tabu

For an upscale alternative to these other Orlando nightlife hotspots, consider Tabu. It features an adult atmosphere and a sophisticated interior, along with a lot of well-dressed regulars who will more than appreciate your company if you don't embarrass yourself. This is a classy location, and everyone likes it that way. The service is top notch, you'll even find celebrity DJs offering up the most popular beats.

Firestone Live

Firestone Live, formerly known as Club Firestone, is arguably the best Orlando nightlife spot for live music. Firestone Live features an eclectic mix of well-known acts, having hosted Tech N9ne, LMFAO, Paul Oakenfold, Stephen Marley, and Of Montreal. If you're looking for live music in the city of Orlando, this is the place to go.

Atlantic Dance

While parents will appreciate the plethora of nightlife options in the city, they'll be even happier to find out that the theme parks themselves also provide great Orlando nightlife entertainment. If you and your family are staying in a Disney resort, you'll only be a short ride away from Downtown Disney, which offers a number of adult-oriented entertainment options.

Get your groove on at Atlantic Dance, a 21+ club that plays top 40 and retro hits. The clientele here is typically of the business traveler variety, so depending on your scene, this might be a better fit than the rambunctious youth of the clubs in Orlando itself. Jellyrolls, a saloon with dueling pianos, is home to a more raucous atmosphere. It too is 21+, and it is open from 7 pm to 2 am.
