Torcal de Antequera Natural Reserve  -  This is one of the most impressive  landscapes in Europe and located in the centre of the region just 12 kilometres from Antequera. Its fantasy-like rock formations cover an area as far as you can see.  This impressive limestone complex was thrust upward from the bed of the sea about 150 million years ago.  The territory comprises four distinct zones: Sierra Pelada, Torcal Alto, Torcal Bajo, and Tajos and Laderas. The second of these is the best to visit and affords an impressive panoramic view of part of the province of Málaga and even, on clear days, the coast of Africa. The itinerary called the “Green Route” allows visitors to observe a variety of vegetation, geological formations and wildlife.

Recinto Monumental de la Alcazaba - Work began on the Alcazaba in the 11th-Century.  Its interior spaces are covered by oblique domes, except for one that has a wooden roof. The Torre de Papabellotas (Papabellotas Tower) was erected above this tower in the 16th-Century and the ringing of the bells was used to regulate the irrigation of the surrounding farmlands. The Torre Blanca (White Tower), with its chambers distributed over two stories, is linked to El Homenaje by the path along the top of the wall.

The Arabic Bathhouses, located in the ancient Jewish quarter, were built in the late 13th-Century but floodwaters from the River Guadalevín eventually buried them. When the Duchess of Parcent ordered the construction of some gardens in this area the first remains of the bathhouses came to light but no attention was paid to them then, either, until the site was acquired by the State in 1935.

Arabic Bathhouses in Ronda - The excavations have allowed the recovery of three chambers of the bathhouse (cold, warm and hot), which are linked by semicircular arches and covered with barrel-vaulted roofs. The bathhouse vaults are perforated by star-shaped openings that filter the sunlight.

Cave of the Pileta - The cave of "la Pileta" was discovered in 1905 by José Bullón Lobato in the mountainous countryside of the Serrania de Ronda amid the limestone peaks of the Sierra de Líbar and Guadiaro. Inside there are paintings dating from 30,000 and 32,000 years BC and the most recent between 4,000 and 5,000 years BC.  With more than 3000 paintings, "La Pileta" A Prehistoric Sanctuary.

Selwo Marina  - Is a new concept in marine life parks, offering the incomparable adventure of discovering the most representative marine mammals and birds of South America. On this particular “expedition” through the New World, there is the first Dolphinarium and the only Ice Penguinarium in the Community of Andalusia.

Benalmadena Sea Life Aquarium - Located next to the Marina in Benalmadena, it contains a shark reef, a tank with rays, a sea snake enclosure and various other displays.  Sea Life is committed to promoting education and awareness of the world's oceans and they encourage this by involving visitors in the interactive area and by allowing some people to help at feeding times.

Selwo Adventure Park - Just off the main road along the Costa del Sol near Estepona at Kilometre 162.5, Selwo Adventure Park is a mix of nature park, safari and adventure park and is unique in Europe. It has a huge wilderness with more than 2,000 animals from all over the world such as elephants, lions, and tigers living in semi-freedom and you can explore this either in 4x4 jeeps or on foot using the overhead walkways. You can slide on a flying fox over a huge lake, try out archery and ride on the back of camels. There is a large aviary with more than 1000 birds and there are exhibitions of birds of prey.

Benalmadena Cable Car - Situated right next to Tivoli World, the Benalmadena Cablecar runs to the summit of Monte Calamorro.  From the top you can enjoy fantastic views over the Costa del Sol, Sierra Nevada and on clear days of Gibraltar and the North African coast.  For those who are feeling more energetic there are paths to walk back down or even to mountain bike down.
