Henry Ford started the trend when he convinced Count Volpi to build a Scottish-type golf course and elegant hotels on the adjacent in Lido Island. After that, John Harris (a little known but much-respected designer), created a lot of courses in this area, contributing to the British “country style” that can be found in our Venice Golf Holidays.
