Italy Golf Holidays

Italy is well known as one of the most extraordinary countries in the world. And golf used to be a “hidden gem” for those in the know. Until recently, golf courses were orientated towards the local elite and well-to-do families so they never promoted their existence nor their excellent quality. However, with new courses and more competition, the fairways are now open. And what fairways they are!

Arnold Palmer, Jim Fazio, Robert von Hagge and and Robert Trent Jones Senior have created masterpieces around glorious cities like Florence, Milan, Turin, Venice and Rome. 

Italy is a very different destination to that of more traditional “mass market” countries like Spain, Portugal and Turkey…In Italy, history and tradition make golf courses special.  It’s very much a social occasion rather than “just a game of golf”.  Golf courses are never crowded during the week and even on weekends it is possible to play with ease or participate in the club tournaments.  And at the end of the round, you’ll enjoy a glass of wine and having a good chat with local golfers, eager to welcome British guests.
