Lyons is the second city of France. Sandwiched between the Rhone and Saone rivers, this ancient city is full of allure. Lyons is also known as the gastronomic capital of the world and many great Chefs make their base here. This is also a very important agricultural area and the farmland, orchards and lavender fields are the perfect backdrop to a country drive and a round of golf.

The golf is nearly as impressive as the food – the exclusive two courses at Villette d’Anthon have hosted the French Open, Bresse has a great restaurant and several superb holes and the 36-hole Le Gouverneur is terrific value, coming complete with an accomplished hotel and proximity to the famous Beaujolais vineyards.
